Who Sold Online This Week?

GROW Nebraska is now highlighting what sold online for the week. If your item sells the most for the week, it will be the featured picture for this section of the weekly update!
If you don't see your products on your list, consider updating your photography or your description to help entice more buyers. For your convenience, we have linked each product to their listing on the eCommerce or eBay sites so you can see what that member has done to help sell their product.
We encourage you to look at the photography and descriptions for each of these items to see how you can make improvements to your listing. Remember, you know more about your business and product than we do, so we really need your help to make your listing the best it can be! To easily find your products on the eCommerce store please

If you would like to make edits to your listing, please e-mail us at
info@grownebraska.org.

5th Annual Governor's Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop
The 5th Annual Governor’s Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, February 3-4, 2010 in Kearney at the Holiday Inn & Convention Center.
Back by popular demand is the “Taste of Nebraska Agritourism” networking event, Wednesday evening, February 3rd, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. The event offers the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your quality homemade and homegrown products. Visitors are always eager to sample a variety of Nebraska made products including beers and wines. The event also offers the perfect venue for you to network and visit with possible partners to cross-market those products.
The event is organized similar to a farmer’s market. While there is no charge for booth space for those attending the workshop, we ask that you provide product samples for attendees to try. Businesses are welcome to sell packaged products during the event. Proper licenses and certifications for food and beverage sales need to be followed.
To register your Nebraska-made products for the upcoming “Taste of Nebraska Agritourism” networking event, please fill out the form below and include a check for payment made out to
Nebraska Tourism and mail to
Karen Kollars, Agritourism Development Consultant, P.O. Box 252, Sidney, NE 69162. If you need further information, feel free to call or email me at 308-249-3220 or
Karen.Kollars@nebraska.gov. And don’t hesitate to spread the word about this exciting event with others who also may be interested in showcasing or selling products.
We also encourage you to attend the Governor’s Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop which is geared toward generating ideas and ways that you can improve your business. Early registration is $75; however, if you host a booth at the Wednesday evening “tasting” event, you can register for the workshop at a discounted rate of $60. GROW Nebraska will cover $25 of the registration fee for its members (bringing your cost to $35.00). Booth rate for those
not attending the workshop is $15.00.
A brochure that contains the workshop agenda and registration form can be viewed and downloaded at

January 14 - Web Usability Testing
Lana Johnson, CIT DEAL Lab, Communications, Information and Technology, University of Nebraska. Usability is the ease with which people can perform a certain task on an object or system to achieve a particular goal. Web usability testing allows us to observe what users do, where they succeed and where they have difficulties. Feedback from this testing can then be used to improve web designs and interfaces for better user experiences.
