Women & Company Microenterprise Awardees Recognized at GROW Nebraska Spring Meeting



2009 Award Winners
The REAP Women's Business Center is again excited to have been selected to participate in the Women and Company Microenterprise Boost Program. This program offers low- and moderate-income women microentrepreneurs the opportunity to achieve greater business success by providing cash awards that will have measurable impact on the development of their businesses. Thanks to the Citigroup Foundation and Women and Company, this innovative initiative makes it possible to provide awardees with both cash and skills, two critical elements for business growth and success.

Utilizing $10,000 in funds provided by the Women and Company Microenterprise Boost Program, the Center for Rural Affairs - Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women's Business Center plans to award five women microentrepreneurs that have been involved with the REAP program $2000 financial support for their enterprises. The equity award winners will be recognized at the GROW Nebraska Spring Meeting on April 18, 2008 at Burchell's White Hill Farmhouse Inn near Minden.

The REAP WBC recognition of equity award recipients at this meeting ties nicely with a part of GROW Nebraska's mission to maximize the state's entrepreneurial and small business spirit. The day offers networking and training opportunities for our entrepreneurial business owners.
