The Birth of the GROW Book
Filed Under: Erin on January 26, 2010
Approximately three years ago Kristi Bose and I worked together on our first GROW Book. While GROW Nebraska had a directory for several years prior to that, this was the first year it was called the GROW Book and the first time Kristi and I had made it our “baby”. When it was “born”, I snapped a cute picture, and sent it to Kristi with the caption “born today, weighing 6 oz. and measuring 5.5″ long”. Since that day, we have made the joke about our “baby”.
This year, Kristi and I are not only going to be working on the GROW Book again, but it happens that I will also be having my first baby. Due around the time as our yearly GROW Book, the aptly named “mini-Malzer” is pushing up the deadline for the 2010-2011 GROW Book. Normally completed and printed in April, the GROW book is being moved up a month, making the deadline for renewals and membership February 1.
The GROW Book is a directory completed each spring, and lists all GROW Nebraska members by category. Distributed at rest areas, retail members, and GROW retail locations, it is an easy to use directory of Nebraska entrepreneurs. The GROW Book has been evaluated repetitively by our members as one of the most valuable services GROW offers for promotion and awareness of their business and products.
If you are a potential new member, please sign up by February 1. Not sure if you should become a member? E-mail us at info@grownebraska.org or call us at 888.476.9632 this week to learn about the benefits of our program. Current members who have not renewed by February 1 will also miss their opportunity to be in the 2010-2011 GROW Book so don’t delay!
