I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas. Oh Wait, I’m Not Sleeping.

Baby, it’s COLD outside. If you are traveling for the Holidays, you already know that the weather outside is frightful. Inches of snow has canceled many plans for Christmas gatherings, knocked out power and made this a Christmas to remember. In 2059 we will be telling our grandchildren and great grandchildren about the Christmas of ’09 and how we had to four-wheel drive up-hill both ways through three feet of snow (we will fail to mention that we had DVD players, iPods, video games and a new novel concept, books to help pass the time).
Too many Christmases go by that we can’t remember as the hustle and bustle becomes more important than spending quality time with family and friends and counting your blessings from the year. Other than a huge snowstorm, we will also be adding a new addition to the family (as my mom says, “think pink”), so I’m sure we will remember the ’09 Christmas.
What will you do this year to make it one to remember? Not one to remember for the blizzard of ’09, but one to treasure. Remember, you only get to experience Christmas ’09 this year. Make the most of it. Merry Christmas!
