It’s Raining, It’s Pouring…

It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring! Yes, after a weekend of snow it is now raining! This is not what I like in October, especially being married to a farmer who still has his crops in the field. One thing we do like to celebrate in October is Buy Fresh Buy Local. As you may remember GROW Nebraska started the month with our own Buy Local Celebration at our stores celebrating two years open in Kearney and our first Anniversary in Grand Island. We had a very successful weekend with lots of people stopping by to check out our new look.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped, sampled, or provided door prizes throughout the event. Special thanks to: James Gustafson from Pur Java, Terry and Jan Davis from Davis Seasoning, Donna Olson from Statecraft of Nebraska, Annette Snyder, Sheryll Hickman Artist, Jan Harding with Totally Nuts. We also had several winners: Barb Hammond, Julie Stracke, Kim Michels, Rebecca Hoobler, Melanie Granmore, Rhonda Ulmer, Rachel Winget, Kay McCabe, Pat Vasquez Patty Hammond, Alison Keete, Jerry Elliott, Linda Peterson, Holly Peterson, Joann Arrants, Audra Hollertz, Erika Cada, Alica Tines, and Ann Johnson.
Several people were lucky enough to start their Christmas shopping! If you haven’t I know a great place that has a lot of unique items. As I have said before the one thing that can always cheer me up is to go shopping! So, whether you are in Kearney, Grand Island or Lincoln you can shop GROW Nebraska or even in the comforts of your own home at ShopGrowNebraska.org. Check out our new store in Lincoln at Westfield/Gateway mall. It will be open now through January 15. So, rain, rain, go away. . .
