If you’re looking for something to do in Nebraska this weekend, you can’t go wrong with attending the 15th Annual Barn Festival near Hastings. Hosted by Marla and Brian Anders of The Barn Candle Company, you can find literally thousands of handcrafted home décor items in a wide variety of categories including fall, kids, inspirational, Christmas and just plain exciting. Instead of a shopping cart or a bag, you can grab a bushel basket. How fun is that?
The setting makes all the difference in the world. First there’s the barn. It’s a real, live, barn. What a great atmosphere for a fall day! They serve lunch in the Barnyard Café, there’s entertainment on Sunday afternoon. You can have half your Christmas shopping done in one stop – in September!
So, call your best girlfriend who lives on the opposite side of Hastings from where you live, set a time, and get to Hastings this weekend for some great shopping in a unique environment. It’s shopping with Nebraska style!
