Aren’t you worn out from all your adventures in Nebraska? It’s time for a good meal, followed by a relaxing evening in the country and a great night’s sleep. The next stop on our trip can provide all of this, and more.
Bob and Linda Ard have created a haven of country comfort at Burchell’s White Hill Farmhouse Inn, a bed and breakfast with a few unique twists. The Inn features four beautiful, comfortable guestrooms with private baths and entrances. The on-site restaurant features smoked meats and family style dining Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 5 – 9 pm and Sundays from 11 am – 9 pm.
Additional conveniences include free wireless Internet, individual temperature controls, farm fresh complete breakfast, beautiful grounds and gardens, and accessible facilities. They carry a variety of Nebraska products in the restaurant, so you can purchase a unique item to take Nebraska home with you. As a member of the Nebraska Bed and Breakfast Association, the Inn is inspected so you know this is an excellent facility.
The best part of your experience, however, is your host and hostess. Bob and Linda Ard are the epitome of hospitable, warm, friendly Nebraskans. The Inn was Linda’s childhood home, and each room is named for one of her siblings and reflects the unique personality of the individual. In the spring, you can view Sandhill Cranes, and a wide variety of native birds visit the site throughout the year. You can walk on the prairie and enjoy the beauty of peace and quiet. Urban visitors will be astonished at the number of stars they’ll see in the clear Nebraska sky. I promise you’ll enjoy your visit to Burchell’s White Hill Farmhouse Inn.
