You Never Know Where You Will be with GROW

You never know what you will be doing with GROW Nebraska. I initially started with GROW back in college. I just switched my major from nursing to agribusiness and wanted an internship that was in that direction and it started. I did the state fair as my main project while interning. Ironically, I am on staff four years later and back doing the state fair. Now, I am the membership coordinator for GROW. Don’t let the name fool you. I do much more than just member recruitment. I am currently overseeing the state fair and will be looking forward to our holiday store here in Lincoln. You never know what you will be doing with GROW.
Jennifer Schoen works at GROW retail locations in Lincoln including the holiday store and the state fair. She got started working with GROW when her sister interned with the program. She worked her first state fair for a t-shirt. (College students are easily bribed.) She didn’t realize that two state fairs later she would still be helping. You never know what you will be doing with GROW.
Ashley Blickenstaff started helping her sister come up with creative descriptions for the membership directory, the GROW Book, five years ago. Two years later she started for GROW part-time as the utility player. In the beginning, she was writing feasibility reports, press releases and transferring articles for databases. More recently, she has created pod casts, written grants, and trained members in how to use social marketing in their marketing plans. However, she still plays the utility player sometimes, helping out at the retail stores and even drying off benches at the State Fair for GROW member Mike Mennard. You just never know what you will be doing with GROW.
