Summer is Over

Summer is over at our house! I know the calendar says it is not officially fall for a few more weeks but once school starts if is official at the High household. Today I sent three of my kids off to school. Tomorrow the oldest gets home from her summer in New York and she will start college next Monday. So this morning my house was quiet and a little melancholy. I reflect over how they are growing and wonder if they are ready for the year ahead.

Along with a new school year come new activities. I have entered all of their activities in my calendar and the first free day it looks like is November 20! Of course, something may come up before that time! Even though my days are filled with my kids’ activities they are also filled with things happening at GROW. In less than a week, we will be getting ready for the state fair store. This should be an exciting year as we have a lot of members signed up. On the heels of the state fair will be our first of three marketing workshops to be held across the state. Stay tuned to find out more about these great learning opportunities. We are again working with Lochland Country Club for a Grandparents Day Brunch-Taste of GROW Nebraska. Then we have the Lincoln store opening up for the holidays as well as the Kearney and Grand Island stores. So as it is in my house there is never a dull moment, the same is true for GROW, there is always something going on!
